In his autobiography the late Fr. Frank Coco, S.J. described how he began playing his clarinet in the French Quarter of New Orleans. He developed relationships and performed with some of the finest jazz musicians in Louisiana like Pete Fountain, Al Hirt, and Ronnie Kole. He recorded two CDs before his death in 2006: "Live From St. Louis" and "Father Frank Coco, S.J. & The Ronnie Kole Trio In A Closer Walk With Three."
