Having completed their two years of novitiate preparation, Jesuit novices Peter Gadalla and Jonathan Harmon pronounced their vows on August 14, 2010, making them official members of the Society of Jesus. The vow ceremony takes place within the context of Mass which this year was held at Saint Charles Borromeo Church in Grand Coteau, Louisiana.

These men will now begin a period called "First Studies" where they will concentrate on philosophy and other courses preparing them for ministry and further studies toward ordination to the priesthood. Both Jonathan and Peter will study at St. Louis University.
